Capricornus is the Sea-Goat, a goat’s head and forelegs on the tail of a fish, drawn that way since Babylon. It is faint: its brightest star, Deneb Algedi, is the tail. In 1846 Neptune was found within its borders, exactly where the mathematics said it would be. The Sun passes through it from late January into February, which the horoscope calls Aquarius. That slip of one constellation is what precession has accumulated since the signs were written down.
